Who We Are
The Silicon Valley Project Management website – SVProjectManagement.com – was started in 2006 to create a community of Project Managers who share best practices, experiences, and lessons learned. Our cross-functional volunteer community adapted a hybrid of Agile frameworks and created the SVPM Scrum Team program.
www.svprojectmanagment.com is a blogging platform that provides Agile/PM practitioners an online space to share their knowledge and expertise with our community. It also gives project managers/professionals an opportunity to gain hands-on experience using Agile frameworks.

How We Work
The ASVPM Immersive Experience® framework is the foundation of ASVPM’s programs.
Unlike classroom-only training, it provides a hands-on, real-world environment where participants learn by doing. Volunteers work in Agile teams to maintain and grow the svprojectmanagement.com website and ASVPM operations, producing value under the same challenges and opportunities faced in professional Agile workplaces today.
Key principles that make the framework effective:
- Self-managing teams
- Full participation in Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, Stand-ups)
- Remote, time-boxed collaboration (synchronous and asynchronous)
- Continuous onboarding and knowledge transfer
This experiential cycle equips participants not only with knowledge but with practical skills, leadership competencies, and an Agile mindset employers seek.
